October

A lot more happened in October than I thought! Now that I look back a lot of fun and special events happened! Here's a look over the month...

My friend Elliott who I worked with at Francesco's got baptized on October 25th! It was a very happy day for him and I was honored to be a part of it.
My aunt Terisha took me to Richmond to see the So You Think You Can Dance Tour 2009 on October 17th! We saw the top ten dancers from Season 5. It was so cool to see Jeanine, Brandon, Randi, Jason, Melissa, Ade, Janette, Evan, Kayla and Kupono live! It was indeed an amazing birthday present and we had a great time together!

My 21st birthday on October 10th was a great day! It was relaxing, but full of fun and friends and SHOPPING! Three of my guy friends gave me some money so I went to my favorite stores out here (Aldo and Papaya) and went shopping. However, I got some of my friends together and we went to Nawab which is an Indian restaurant and the food is to die for!

To start off the month my Aunt Terisha and I took little Steven to the pumpkin patch! He picked a good one :).

September

Desiree came to visit me from up by D.C. where she is now living. We had a blast to say the least, but that's what Desiree and I do when we get together :). I missed having a true friend around!! It was so nice to have her with me for a weekend.

We went to Busch Gardens...
Colonial Williamsburg...And Virginia Beach for the Neptune Festival...it was a fantastic weekend!

Hair CHOP!

I totally chopped off my long hair and this is the result! I really like it a lot. I really wanted a change as well. Taking care of long hair was getting old. You know me, I'm always in need of a change every couple months.

This was Omar Valverde's last day with us in Williamsburg, VA. This morning he got on a jet plane to go home and visit his family back in El Paso, TX before heading back to school in Boston, MA. We went and ate and took some pictures and then they had to leave me :(!

The Month of July

YSA Dance: Poquoson, VA
The 25th there was a bi-stake dance for the singles in Poquoson, VA. That's about a half an hour from Williamsburg. It was the only dance I've ever been to where I've had that much fun and I've only been to like three dances total.

Norfolk, VA
It was SO gorgeous that evening. I went with a few friends to watch one of their friends play at a restaurant. The live music was so wonderful, the view was beautiful and to landscape was perfect!

Yorktown, VA
My friend Nate Tanner invited me to go with him to Yorktown Beach to take his dogs for a walk. I'd never been there before but Yorktown is quaint and the beach is pretty. However, it's infamous for the jellyfish in the water and washed up on shore.

Williamsburg, VA
A couple days after the 4th a group of my friends and I went to Sno-to-go and it was yummy! For all of you who don't know what Sno-to-go is and have never tried it are missing out! It's alternating layers of snow cone and soft serve ice cream. It is DELICIOUS. We opened the back of the Element and played some music, danced and ate our yummy treats. It was a good time.

Colonial Williamsburg, VA

Independence Day in Williamsburg, VA is a BIG deal. The Fife and Drum group plays at the end of the firework show and there are HUNDREDS of people who croud around in Colonial Williamsburg it's crazy. These fireworks were fun to watch, but very spastic.

Dates by day and beach by night

Last night my friend Kara Adams and I went with some of our other friends to Virginia Beach at 10PM and stayed until about 1AM. From the beach we went to Ihop and had some breakfast. We were all hungry from playing in the ocean. I love that you can go to the Atlantic at any time of day, or night and it's warm! The beach is lovely at night and it was just a good time. It takes about an hour to get there, but we blasted some fun music. On the way back at 2AM was a different story. It took us an extra half an hour because traffic was backed up for a couple miles on the bridge before the tunnel. Apparently everyone was having a great time at VA Beach, too because traffic was HORRIBLE. There was some road work being done which caused the stop and go every few feet and ultimately the delay getting home.

I went on a date with my friend Nate Tanner. He took me to Busch Gardens and we rode all the roller coasters, he bought us matching Elmo shirts and had some yummy ice cream and dinner. It was a beautiful day and good company. That was Wednesday. This last week was great!

North Carolina

Yesterday I had the pleasure of waking up at 6 AM to drive 40 minutes to the church so I could drive another 2.5 hours to Nags Head, North Carolina to go to the beach! It was all so worth it. It's is so beautiful there and I collected some pretty awesome shells! The waves were huge and fun to ride. I guess there was a huge jelly fish where some of us were swimming, too. It kind of brought me back to reality that I was actually in the ocean where there are some dangerous creatures. The ocean itself has catastrophic power and isn't to be taken lightly, or ELSE! Anyway, there was a good group of people and they fed us Krispy Kreme donuts and KFC chicken. I swear it was over 90 degrees because at the end of the day I was definitely crispy. You'd think I was related to a lobster by how red I was...and still am. I was in some insane pain, but it's gotten a little better with the cold showers and aloe THANK HEAVEN.

Nags Head, North Carolina

Brooke Russell and I

Omar Valverde, Pamilla Dawson, Nathan Hansen and Brook Russell

The Pier

Sarah Stanley, Genevieve Hunter, Pamilla Dawson, Amanda Turlington, Brooke Russell

They hooked me and reeled me in!

Nathan Hansen and Omar Valverde fighting over me ;).

I am so grateful for all these new experiences and places I've seen! Heavenly Father really did make a beautiful world for us to live in and I need to appreciate it more. He's also blessed me with some really fun people to spend time with, yay!

TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen

A group of my friends and I from the single's branch went to the midnight showing of Transformers. We actually got the perfect seats, got there an hour early and saw the last part of Year One. We filled up a whole row of seats! It was a lot of fun.

Nate Tanner and I taking a picture together. He had to lift me up and hold me because I was too short.

Nathan Hansen has some of the funniest facial expressions ever. He cracks me up!

Omar Valverde, Amanda Turlington, Bryan Call and Nathan Hansen waiting for Transformers to start!

Hayley, Brooke Russell and Nate Tanner were waiting with me, too.

I loved the movie! Bumblebee and Optimus Prime messed some people up! It was action packed and suspensful and absolutely awesome! It was totally worth the 4 hours of sleep I got last night.

My last 10 days in Lewiston...

I finally found out what my final grades were for the semester. I ended up doing pretty decent! Just by getting the grades it affirms the fact I know that there is a loving God haha :). It was a really rough semester for me! I got all my stuff packed up out of my apartment with the help of my mother, sister Malissa and Hope, grandparents and my friend Tyson Woodbury. Between then and now I've been able to spend time with my sister Coleen (from San Francisco), brother in-law Todd, nephew Jake, Aunt Virginia (from Utah), Uncle Guy (from Oregon) and Dawson grandparents besides those that live here in Lewiston! It was a great treat.

Left to Right: Grandpa Dawson, Dad, Aunt Virginia, Uncle Dan, Uncle Guy and Grandma Dawson

Here I am sitting at my parents' computer 4 hours before my plane leave the ground and takes me on my way to Virginia. I thought I would update my life at little. There will be more updates soon when I get settled, but for now this is what has been going on in my life!
